In our metal bending services, quality control is a very strict process that involves all the bent metal parts to fit precisely to the dimension and functionality specifications. The individual components are checked with calibrated instruments and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to ensure the accuracy of the bend angles, size and accuracy of the whole component. Bent metal components are all checked against GD&T specifications and also ISO and ASME standards to ensure that they meet design specifications. What is the minimum bend radius Lewei can achieve?
Minimum bend radius depends on material and thickness. As a rule, we maintain a bend radius equal to or greater than the material thickness. For aluminum, the bend radius is typically 1.5× thickness to prevent cracking. Our DFM team confirms feasibility before quoting.
What metals can Lewei Precision bend on press brakes?
We bend cold-rolled steel, hot-rolled steel, stainless steel 304 and 316, aluminum 5052 and 6061, galvanized steel, copper, and brass. Sheet thickness ranges from 0.5mm to 10mm depending on the alloy and required bend angle.
